Light Between

Hello, my name is Braxton!

By day I work in IT, and by night I write stories about grief, loss, and quiet companionship. Creative writing is a new hobby for me, but after receiving a lot of encouraging feedback, I wanted to create a place to share my work.

Most of my stories center around the idea of quiet companionship in hopeless places. It’s a theme I find endlessly fascinating — and one I wish more media explored. I’ve been especially inspired by manga like Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou (YKK) and Girls’ Last Tour, which both explore hope and companionship against quiet, post-apocalyptic backdrops.

I don’t write to make money. I write to be understood. My greatest hope is that someone might stumble across these stories and think: “yeah, I understand that.” If my writing can stir a feeling, spark a memory, or bring a sense of connection, then it’s done its job.

Thanks for stopping by.
